PETG print temperature and settings
Tougher and more heat-resistant than PLA, with little warping, which makes it the usual step up for functional parts.
Across the 45 PETG lines we track, the median recommended range is 230–250 °C at the nozzle and 70–80 °C on the bed. Protopasta starts lowest (195 °C) and QIDI Tech goes highest (280 °C).

Good for
- functional and outdoor parts
- food-container style prints (check the brand’s certification)
- parts that need some flex before breaking
Watch out for
- Strings more than PLA
- Sticks very strongly to smooth PEI; a release agent such as glue stick helps
- Absorbs moisture over time
