ASA print temperature and settings
Similar to ABS in strength and heat resistance but resistant to UV, so it is the usual choice for parts that live outdoors.
Across the 27 ASA lines we track, the median recommended range is 250–260 °C at the nozzle and 90–105 °C on the bed. Ambrosia starts lowest (230 °C) and Fusion goes highest (290 °C).

ASA prints best warm and enclosed. These printers list an actively heated chamber.
Frequently asked questions
What temperature should I print ASA at?
Most brands recommend about 250–260 °C at the nozzle and 90–105 °C on the bed (median of 27 brands). Use your brand's own range when you have it.
Do I need an enclosure for ASA?
Yes. ASA warps and cracks in drafts; an enclosed, warm printer gives far better results.
Does ASA need a hardened nozzle?
No. A standard brass nozzle is fine.
