Frequently asked questions
What temperature should I print HIPS at?
Most brands recommend about 230–235 °C at the nozzle and 100–105 °C on the bed (median of 3 brands). Use your brand's own range when you have it.
Do I need an enclosure for HIPS?
Not strictly, but an enclosure reduces warping on larger HIPS prints.
Does HIPS need a hardened nozzle?
No. A standard brass nozzle is fine.
